Philip Street's "Fisher": The Cast

	The "Fisher" Cast
	The characters and situations of the strip have evolved over time, as often happens with comic strips. But here's a quick run-down of the main characters.

Tom Fisher is overeducated and undermotivated. After the Early Years of Bitter Struggle, he has established himself as a copywriter at the Waverly and Mogul ad agency, and is well into the Middle Years of Bitter Struggle. He lives in a shared household, in a city that might as well be Toronto, with Alison, Ruth and Eugene. In early June 2002, Tom and Alison got married! (Read about the preparations in the archives.)


Alison is a former art student and painter who has inherited her father's comic strip, "The Snugglebunnies."	Ruth is an elementary-school teacher with an acerbic wit. Eugene is an easy-going type, a business consultant and closet winemaker. (That is, he makes the wine in a closet.) Ruth and Eugene are set to get married in August 2002.


J.B. Mogul is Tom's crusty boss at the ad agency. Mogul by name, mogul by nature.	Living in the same city (that might as well be Toronto) is Tom's sister Marion and her husband, Biff. They have a daughter, Franny (not shown). Biff is the one who got Tom hired at Waverly and Mogul; he works there too.	The supporting cast also includes Homer, a street poet and panhandler.
